This natural collagen induction therapy is practical and effective as a standalone treatment and can also be supercharged for enhanced results. Profile Aesthetics & Wellness offers the men of Ft. Our personable and professional team of providers invites you to experience the ultimate men’s med spa experience and achieve the confidence to reach your highest potential in every aspect of your life.

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Controlled damage for comprehensive skin rejuvenation. Microneedling uses ultra-fine needles to create thousands of micro-injuries to the skin’s outer layers, inducing a flood of collagen to regenerate skin cells naturally.

As your body’s natural repair mechanism goes to work to heal the tiny injuries caused during the microneedling process, other skin-related concerns are also repaired. Thus, through comprehensive skin repair, you can achieve significant enhancement in virtually every aspect of your skin’s quality.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING?

SIMPLE TREATMENT. MULTI-FACETED RESULTS.

As microneedling revives cellular health, it produces an all-encompassing improvement to your skin’s overall condition. With microneedling, you can expect to achieve a noticeable reduction in concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, textural problems, skin laxity, uneven skin tone, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and scarring due to acne, injury, or surgery.
Treatment is convenient, typically taking less than an hour to perform and involving little-to-no downtime. In addition, it is extremely well-tolerated, making it an excellent modality for combined treatments. Microneedling also enhances the effectiveness of your skincare routine by allowing products to penetrate deeper into the skin.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICRONEEDLING?

Explore your candidacy for this nearly universally beneficial treatment. Microneedling is an excellent treatment option for almost any adult with cosmetic skin concerns.

However, certain conditions may prevent treatment in some patients or cause them to postpone their treatment. Such conditions include active skin infections, lesions, active acne, or problems with wound healing.

YOUR MICRONEEDLING PROCEDURE

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME TO US FOR TREATMENT.

When you arrive at Profile Aesthetics & Wellness for your Microneedling Ft. Lauderdale patients will enjoy a skilled provider who will prep your skin with a topical numbing solution which will be allowed to sit for approximately 30 minutes. If you opt to add PRP to your treatment, our in-house providers will draw a small amount of your blood.
Then, they will place your blood sample in a centrifuge to isolate the PRP from other contents. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, your skilled provider will cleanse your skin and begin the microneedling process. They will use a small handheld microneedling pen containing tiny needles to create microscopic punctures in your skin’s surface throughout the entire treatment area. Then, they will topically apply your PRP or serum over your freshly treated skin and allow it to soak into the microchannels created during the microneedling portion of your treatment.

RECOVERY

With enhanced repair function, you will notice a difference in your skin’s tone, texture, and appearance about two weeks after your treatment.
Most patients need approximately three to six treatments spaced two to four weeks apart to achieve optimal results. After this, you can maintain your results with follow-up treatments every four to six weeks.

RESULTS

Most patients require no downtime after their microneedling treatment, and you should be able to return to work or other activities immediately after your treatment.
However, redness is common following microneedling and may take a few days to subside. Your skin will be vulnerable to the sun for a week or two, so you will need to wear sunscreen. Lastly, you will need to avoid strenuous activity and sweating for a minimum of 48-72 hours to prevent infection and adverse skin reactions.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICRONEEDLING & DERMAROLLING AT HOME?

While these two skin treatments are similar in concept, microneedling is safer and more effective than dermarolling due to the depth and angle at which it penetrates the skin.

Microneedling punctures the skin perpendicularly, causing more focused and controlled damage to the skin, while dermarolling presents a greater risk of scarring. Furthermore, microneedling with a professional offers access to enhanced treatment and other advanced products. Ultimately, dermarolling at home poses a greater risk of error and offers less substantial results than microneedling provided by a reputable professional.
